What services do you offer?

What areas do you service?

We offer a variety of speech and language services at Play Haven Pediatric Therapy. We offer individual therapy in-home, daycare or private schools as well as teletherapy. We also offer virtual parent or provider coaching.  For more information on services and pricing click here.

What are your rates?

For in-person therapy services we mostly travel throughout the MetroWest, Middlesex and Worcester county areas. Check out the map at the bottom of our homepage in the Contact us section to see specific towns/cities we service. If you live outside of the listed areas, please feel free to still contact us. If we are unable to travel to you, we can discuss other options such as virtual services or we will do our best to refer you to trusted colleagues in our network who may service your area.

We are a private pay only practice. You can find our current rates for all services here

How do we get started?

Start by scheduling a phone consult. If you or your child has not had a recent evaluation in the past six months we will schedule an evaluation. Following the evaluation, we will determine whether therapy is warranted and set up services. We need to meet and evaluate new clients in order to determine what type and frequency of therapy will best meet their needs.

Why in-home services?

Do you take insurance?

At this time, Play Haven Pediatric Therapy accepts private pay only. We do not contract with any insurance plans. We will provide you with a detailed receipt upon request called a superbill.  You can submit superbills to your insurance for potential reimbursement of out-of-network services. It is the responsibility of the client/client's family to inquire with your insurance provider about out-of-network benefits, if superbills are accepted, and any prior documentation that is needed before initiating services. You can do so by calling the number on your insurance card.

What are the benefits of private pay services?

Is teletherapy effective?

Yes. Studies show that teletherapy is as effective as traditional in-person therapy. Not only is it effective, but it's convienent too. At Play Haven, we make teletherapy just as fun, and play-based as our in-person therapy.

Yes. If your child has been evaluated within the last six months, it is possible a full comprehensive evaluation is not needed. We ask that you share the recent evaluation report for us to review and see if the goals/treatment decision continues to meet your child's needs.

No referral is needed to initiate therapy services. We can get started right away! Decisions about frequency of service and length of therapy sessions are made based on your child’s actual needs, not an insurance company who doesn't know or understand your child. We're not limited to a specific type of therapy or number of sessions. Our rates are set to reflect more time spent actually providing the services you're seeking for your child, not time spent dealing with insurance companies and clearing their red tape. Family members can be active members of therapy and therapy decisions.

How long are sessions and how often will you see my child?

Can we do an informal evaluation if my child was recently evaluated?

Sessions are either 30, 45 or 60-minutes long. Length of session and frequency depends on your child's specific needs. After the evaluation and meeting your child we will be able to determine how frequent services are needed.

Providing services in home is the most natural environment for the child. When working with a child in their own home a therapist can use your child’s toys, typical routines (e.g., meal time, play time, outdoor play), or everyday objects during a therapy session. Providing services in-home allows for easy parent coaching of strategies and support. The best part? No time spent traveling or waiting for services. We come to you!
