Gina Sultan, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Serving Somerville and surrounding areas (Middlesex County)

Gina received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Tufts University and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University. She is a certified speech-language pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Gina has several years of experience working with children ages 0-3 and their families through an Early Intervention organization providing in-home, routines-focused, strengths-based therapy and parent coaching. She has worked as an SLP consultant with the Learning Disabilities center at Boston Children’s Hospital, specializing in interdisciplinary team evaluations to provide recommendations for academic support.

Gina’s training as a speech therapist is only one part of all the experiences and information that she uses to inform her practice. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in the understanding that neurodiversity is natural and there is so much variation in how humans think, learn, and behave. She knows there is no one-size-fits-all approach to language development and is passionate about helping parents and caregivers discover how their children learn, their sensory needs and preferences, and how to support their unique style of language and cognitive development.

In addition to her SLP training, Gina is a certified DIR Floortime provider and is trained in supporting gestalt language processors through the Meaningful Speech course (NLA-Trained clinician). Gina seeks out information and perspectives from the autistic and neurodivergent community to inform her practice, and continues to learn so much from her personal and professional relationships with autistic & neurodivergent clinicians, family members/friends, and her own experience on the “other side” as a new parent myself in a wonderfully neurodivergent family.

Advanced Trainings/Certifications:

  • NLA-Trained Clinician through Meaningful Speech

  • DIR Floortime Provider
